Diploma thesis The urban greenery system in touch with the landscape analyzes the interaction zones between the city and the landscape. The overall shape of the interaction zone around the built-up area of the city is also given by the amount of green areas that go out of town to the countryside. The unspoiled part of the system is also the tree-line, connecting the city with the landscape of the tree lines. The assessment of the transition zone between the greenery of cities and the countryside was carried out in ten areas of interest. The total length of the assessed transition zone of all interest facilities was 216 km, in individual projekts it was between 9.5 - 35.6 km. From the total length of the boundary of the intravilan, almost 73 km of the interaction zone of the system of greenery and landscape was evaluated and described in detail. The transition zone of the city and the landscape is an up-to-date and often discussed subject, especially in relation to suburbanization and the rapid expansion of cities. The transition zone of the city and the landscape is directly related to the implementation of the so-called Green Infrastructure concept and is fully related to so-called greener benefits and green ecosystem services. Knowledge and detailed analysis of this transition and interaction is an important key to planning the principles of urban greenhouse development.

The main topic of this diploma thesis is the border area between the inner city and the vineyard landscape in the town of Pezinok. The theoretical part deals with the character of the current peripheral areas of cities and their suburban landscape. The issue of the model area has been defined and explained through the theory of Pavel Hnilička. The problems of the peripheral parts of the cities, which he describes in the book „Sídelní kaše“, coincide with the problems of the researched model area. The solved area has a kind of ring shape in which dominates residential function. Other areas are occupied by various types of premises, transport infrastructure lines, public greenery and very important Blatina stream flowing through the whole area. This area has become the subject of this work, because it has great potential and strength to transform into a quality border area that connects the city with surrounding unique landscape, acquires a new identity and supports the characteristics of the primary landscape structure. The proposal is preceded by many elaborated analyzes of the primary, secondary and tertiary landscape structure. An essential author's analysis was the elaboration on new methodology of typology of dividing lines, on the basis of which it was possible to define how the area can be connected with the surrounding landscape. The design study aims to complete the green system, which together with the components of the green- blue infrastructure connects the solved area in the transverse and also longitudinal direction. In addition to the elements of the infrastructure, which are public spaces, the design also works with new residential areas, which together with the new park are the key areas of the design. The solutions are proved by schemes, ground plans, sections and perspectives.

This thesis deals with the optimization of the greenery system of the city. The literary research examines problematics of the systems of greenery and related issues, especially the requirements for their structure and the principles of their formation. It also focuses on the importance and function of greenery in the urban environment and its role in adapting cities to climate change.Based on the findings, it defines the principles of dealing with the optimization of settlement greenery systems. The acquired knowledge is then applied to the model area of city Hodonín. First, its complex analyzes are carried out, focused on the characteristics of the landscape background and characteristics of the settlement unit. The main part is the evaluation of the current condition of urban greenery. Using the selected methodology, all its properties relevant for the design optimization of the system are evaluated. The gained information is then summarized into clear statistics and a simple balance. Based on exploration and analyzes, the main problems are defined in the area and the main ideas for the proposal is set. Proposal presents the overall concept of the development of the greenery system of the city. It defines the potential for the development of new green areas and deals with the necessary development of existing areas.Some parts of the proposal are subsequently solved in a more detailed scale. On the basis of acquired knowledge, general recommendations for optimization of urban green systems were formulated.

This thesis about The importance of alleys for continuity of the green settlement system is dealing with the problematics of urban greenery system, the significance and usage of alleys in cities and the importance of the connection of the urban greenery. This thesis is split into two different parts. The first part, literal outline, is dealing with the problematics of urban greenery system and the significance of the usage of the alleys for the urban greenery. It is taking into consideration its full meaning and functional aspect of the city itself. We will also find in this part the importance of the greenery infrastructure, alley legislation, the possibility of restoration, rating and sorting the alleys. The second part, materials and methodology, is working with the methodology of rating the alleys. The key way to this is to rate the quality of the nature of the alleys and the methodology of rating the spatial links of the alleys. In the first part of the methodology was analysed and rated exactly sixty-five alleys in the area of Breclav with the overall length of 17,6km. The alleys were rated on the scale from 1 (the most significant) to 3 (least significant) depending on the significant of the connection of the urban greenery. The mark 1 scored 39 alleys, with the mark 2 (medium significant) was scored 5 alleys and the remaining 19 were granted the significance of 3. Methodology of rating the spatial links of the alleys in the picture schemes, shows the spatial links of the alleys and combine them with the first part of methodology. From this, we can conclude the following statement about the overall and final rating of the alleys. From the ratings of the alleys, we can take away a recommendation for the improvement of the alleys in Breclav and the overall urban system of the city. In conclusion is the evaluation of what is the meaning of the alleys for the continuity of urban greenery.
Potenciál brownfields a jejich návaznost na systém zeleně měst

The bachelor thesis deals with both brownfield and the system of greenery topic in the area of Valašské Meziříčí town. About 18 brownfields/underused places were found in a town. Each place was given a recommendation for future usage, including for example new places with greenery, residental buildings or a deer-park recovery. There was specified the functional type for each area containing greenery. Current system of greenery is based on the map of functional types. Some new development axes of this system were designed to link currently separated areas of greenery. The idea of the new park including avenue was placed into the Křižan sawmill, which is on of the found brownfields. The task of the avenue is to connect current places of greenery together, which means it becomes one of the new development axes of the greenery system. The fundamental part of the park is succession vegetation. There is also a birch grove, a tree raster with a coffee house and a wavy lawn. North section of the area was set apart for new bus station.

The bachelor thesis deals with the development of greenery in the area of the Jeseník Spa and its adjacent landscape. Important aspects that shape the landscape are the localization of the Spa in the steep terrain, the presence of natural springs, the less known part of the history of the spa landscape and, finally, the unique views of the Hrubý Jeseník Mountains. Literary research deals with the development of balneology in general both in the world and in the Czech Republic. Additionally, it describes the specifics of the creation of spa greenery on the basis of literary sources and then verifies the acquired knowledge from literature by its own research in the area of four spas in the foothills. The practical part is devoted to the relevant landscape analysis of the model area of the spa seat and its adjacent landscape. It defines the values and problems in the area resulting from the current state and planned changes in the spatial plan of Jeseník. The main idea of the design part is to point out the less well-known cultural-historical values of the spa area, to develop the potential of the present values and to respond to the both present problems and others resulting from spatial plan of Jeseník. The design focuses on the development of spa greenery in both the spa and the surrounding countryside. The common motive for the design of the spa seat and the town of Jeseník is their interconnection through the adjacent landscape and the pleasant stay of the people in the local spa region.

The dissertation thesis details the issue of qualitative assessment of urban greenery at different levels of its hierarchical system (system of urban greenery -- area (object) of greenery -- vegetation element). The proposed indicators were verified by practical assessment in the City of Ostrava. The indicators of spatial structure and composition of system of urban greenery were verified by the assessment of greenery areas of citywide importance and then on urban districts Poruba and Michálkovice (totally were evaluated 476 greenery areas). Proposed indicators proved the differences in a spatial structure and composition of individual systems of urban greenery as well as differences in spatial relations of various functional types of greenery. Quality indicators of basic areas (objects) of greenery were verified by the assessment of 83 greenery areas of citywide importance. This group of indicators pointed to differences in the overall quality of individual areas of greenery as well as in the quality of partial factors that are involved in the final state of areas. Significant deficiencies of individual areas were mainly unsuitable age structure (56.63 % of the areas), high need of recovery or cultivation measure (45.78 % of the areas), low level of qualitative state of technical elements (28.92 % of the areas), or complete absence of recreation and facility elements (26.51 % of the areas). A total of 22.89 % of the areas did not fulfil their functions and were assessed as unstable areas. Indicators of quality of vegetation and technical elements were verified on compositional elements constituting 83 areas of citywide importance mentioned above. In total it was assessed 9962 pcs of vegetation and technical elements of a total area of 186.69 hectares. Indicators give detailed information on the true state and quality of these elements. Quality of each elements and quality of its maintenance care was different. Quality varied within individual types of elements as well as within individual functional types of greenery. Among the elements found in a significant proportion in below average (low) qualitative state ranked lawn areas (40.33 % of their total area) and vegetation elements compound of woody species, especially woody species stands (52.62 %) and groups of trees (46.88 %). The results and their interpretation clearly show that the recommended indicators proposed in this thesis are tool for the exact assessment of state and quality of urban greenery system at its individual hierarchical levels. Explanatory power of proposed indicators enables their direct application and use in the urban greenery management.

The diploma thesis deals with the system of greenery in the small town. It solves possible forms connected with surrounding landscape, their mutual interaction and smooth transition. It focuses on landscape users, humans, and their movement, especially walking and cycling. It creates green corridors for these activities interconnecting communication nodes within the town, connecting to surrounding landscape. Design retains the landscape character and character of the site, but at the same time offers all modern equipment and reflects requirements of the time. Based on study of sources and analysis, it formulates general procedure for creating and managing a system of greenery of small towns.

his diploma thesis was focused on issues of public space and their modifications, ie Elements of the system of greenery. There were considered their typology and the possibilities of their interconnection. The question arose when it came to the need for the connection of these elements and why. The thesis was divided into three main units the literary, analytical and design part. In the literary part, the reader was acquainted with basic concepts related to the topic. The publics relationship to the public space and the urban development of urban planning has been clarified. The work also deals with the system of public spaces through the characteristics of its individual elements. Approaches to the planning of these public spaces were presented. The work continued to address the current system of green as a part of the public space. Interest was given to the relatively modern concept of green and blue infrastructure and their comparison with the familiar expression green system. In the analytical part of the thesis was a thorough analysis of the model territory by grouping all map, photographic and text documents on the given space and carrying out field surveys. Based on the synthesis of the above information, a garden design study of the selected area was developed. This was presented in the form of graphical outputs, namely: situation, perspective images, cuts and axonometry.

Bachelor thesis Potential of river and waterfront in the green infrastructure of the city deals with comparison of the rivers and the green infrastructure in the four European capital cities, Paris, London, Copenhagen a Warsaw. The river and the greenery has the possibility to bring landscape to the city. It is good to bring this feature to the green infrastructure and connect it with waterfronts. The literature review is dealing with the history of the water in the city, greenery and green infrastructure in the city and its connection with the river and waterfronts. The practical part is focused on the description of the city, the map and the graphs for easy comparison of the city waterfronts. The aim of the thesis is to gain knowledge about the river in the city and how it can fulfil its potential in integration to the green infrastructure of the city. The selected cities could be the inspiration for the other cities with their attitude toward the green infrastructure and the river.
